Where can I find the nutritional information for your products?

All nutritional information is in the photo collections of each product. Please scroll through the product pictures to find the nutritional panel

When will my order be delivered?

You can check your ETA delivery day on our delivery calculator at the top of our home page. It will give you the date of the current order cycle. If you are looking for a delivery that has already left us, it is safe to assume it will be 2 weeks earlier than the date the delivery calculator gives you.

Do you have any dairy-free options?

Most of our made products contain dairy, however, you can usually sub out any dairy required in our dry mixes. On all our products pages, you’ll find a drop-down tab called “INGREDIENTS”. This Tab will tell you if the products do or don’t contain dairy.

Are your products Halal?

Mostly, yes!

We only work with butchers who supply Grass Fed, Grass Finished & Halal products. Some of our products contain Pork or alcohol though. On all of our product’s pages, you’ll find a drop-down tab called “INGREDIENTS”. This Tab will tell you if the products do or don’t contain non-halal products.

Can I freeze your products?

Yes absolutely! We bake, package, and freeze and then ship with frozen couriers. On the day of your delivery, it's swapped to a refrigerated van instead of frozen and you can portion out whatever you'd like and pop it into the freezer. We have a best before of 6-12 months if stored frozen.

Can you taste that sweetener aftertaste in your foods?

No, you cannot taste that sweetener aftertaste in our foods.

We make our own sweetener for this reason which is a mix of Erythritol and RA98% stevia.

There are also multiple "tastes" people are referring to when speaking about sweetener options and they all have a range of reasons. Two main problems are-

1. The cooling effect people experience.

-This is coming from Erythritol and is something that happens when the erythritol has not been dissolved properly. This can be because not enough liquid has been used in a recipe or the method wasn't changed to account for erythritol instead of sugar but is 100% of the time due to the incorrect use of erythritol.

2. A metallic aftertaste.

This is coming from the stevia, particularly low-quality stevia, which is the stevia used in all erythritol-based sweeteners on supermarket shelves. The stevia is referred to as RA60% and with certain products, is also mixed in with monk fruit sweetener in hopes the monk fruit will counteract the terrible stevia taste.

Our sweetener uses an RA98% stevia, being a higher quality stevia, eliminating any flavour other than an empty sweetness.

Melvia (Our sweetener) was created because our customers wanted a sweetener option to put in their tea. Because tea isn’t too strong of a flavour, it would do nothing to mask the taste of bad-quality stevia. That’s how non-existent the stevia aftertaste is in Melvia!

Can’t you just sweeten with stevia only?

Unfortunatly not. People tell us all the time that they use just stevia at home to sweeten. The chances are high that you don't and you are mistaken by the front of the packets' words instead of the ingredient list. Please read the back of your packet and not the fancy words on the front. The exception here is for people who use liquid stevia.

You see, Stevia is a perfect marketing word to get everyone excited. A good quality stevia is over 450x sweeter than sugar. So, if your recipe needed 1 cup of sugar, you’d need the tip of a pin’s head of stevia to get the same sweetness level. You’ve also just lost 1 cup worth of bulk in that recipe, which is very important because now all your ratios of all ingredients need to change, resulting in what you intended on baking, becoming something entirely different.

The sweetener topic is quite a complex thing to try and explain because there are so many options available, each having its own problems and difficulties. We, for the last 10 years, have opted to use our own Erythritol and Stevia blend as our sweetener alternative.
